What was the first domain name you ever registered?
Just curious.
What was the first domain you ever bought/registered? Were you happy with it? Would you buy it again?

SURREALestate.com was the first domain I registered, back in 1997. I wrote a song with same name two years earlier, and decided to set up a site for the song. Over the last 13 years, the site has become something totally different and has taken on a life of its own. Yes, I think I'd buy it again (even though I never let it go), as long as it didn't cost too much.

DejaSurf.com - I checked the whois history (on DomainTools.com) and it says I bought it in 2006, although I think I've had it longer.
This name came from a buddy, when I was selling some shareware that recorded your web browsing and could play it back. "Deja" + "Surf", like "Deja Vu".
It retrospect, this isn't a great name: Too hard to pronounce and more of a brandname -- it would have been better to get a name like "WebRecorder.com" that says-what-it-is.
Still have it, though.

Cool! A website with a song... I don't think anyone is going to top that!
